Only nine percent of Andrew Glover's participants are re-incarcerated, a recidivism rate half that of other similar successful programs and one-sixth the rate of the general population of juvenile offenders.

Andrew Glover Youth Program

Andrew Glover offers an alternative-to-incarceration program for teenagers living in the Lower East Side and East Harlem. The program intervenes while youths have an active case and advocates using sentences as a time for rehabilitation, educational and vocational support and, hopefully, redirection. Each participant is matched with a case worker to develop an individualized rehabilitation plan. The two sites serve as refuges for troubled youth as well as centers for education and recreational services. Andrew Glover follows up with graduates for at least three years.

Robin Hood is helping the organization expand its operations.
