Description
The Associate, Donor Data and Analytics is part of the Development team and reports to the Director, Research and Analytics. The main function of this position is to ensure that Robin Hood maintains accurate, complete, and up-to-date records documenting the organization’s relationship with its stakeholders. In addition, it is to ensure that the database is an effective tool for donor cultivation, stewardship, and development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Together with the Associate Manager, maintains core non-financial donor information in Robin Hood’s constituent database and partners with gift accounting and reporting to ensure its accuracy, integrity and utility.
  • Responsible for the input, review, correction and maintenance of all non-financial donor information. Creates new records, reviews and updates donor information as part of the daily gift processing cycle, and completes all change to record requests from staff in a timely manner.
  • Promotes uniformity across the system by proactively updating and enriching the quality of all non-financial donor information including addresses, employment details, relationships, constituent demographics, event attendance, etc.
  • Formally conducts database integrity projects to identify and address problem areas such as duplicate entries, invalid addresses, cluttered code tables, incorrectly stored data, etc.
  • Prepares reports and mailing lists for development staff based on specified parameters.
  • Finds innovative ways to use the donor database and related modules to their full potential as tools to help Robin Hood meet its mission.
  • Participates in the creation and detailed documentation of data entry best practices, including updating documentation as processes are added, changed or modified.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of professional data processing work experience using Raiser’s Edge.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent prior experience.
  • An exceptional eye for detail and an ability to enter data accurately, effectively and efficiently.
  • High degree of initiative, curiosity and problem solving ability. Must be self driven.
  • High energy, positive, and flexible with a “can-do” attitude. Must be a dependable team player.
  • The ability to manage a high volume of requests and be productive in a fast-paced, multitasked environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills and facility using computer software; advanced working knowledge of Excel.
