Robin Hood is seeking partners to launch a $15 million initiative to build new high-quality schools.

Today, there are over 200,000 New York City children trapped in low-quality schools.

We know that education is the best way to change these odds and to catalyze economic mobility.

Over the past 30 years, Robin Hood has learned what it takes to build schools that dramatically improve the odds for students living in poverty.

The time is now for Robin Hood to bring what we’ve learned works to the students in our city still falling through the cracks.

Robin Hood is launching an innovative Fund to open new high-quality schools – both district and charter – targeted to this student population. To expand our reach, the Fund will also facilitate the sharing of proven charter instructional practices with the district school systems in these communities.

Why Robin Hood?

Robin Hood has a powerful track record of leveraging its resources and networks to advance educational outcomes.

Overview of the Fund

We are seeking to launch the Fund with $15mm over 3 years to support the successful start-up of 28 new schools and facilitate charter-district best practice sharing within 5 high-need communities.
