Amid a growing national crisis around economic and racial inequity, Robin Hood has used its convening power to bring leading figures under one roof to focus on a single issue: poverty.

Since 2016, Robin Hood’s marquee No City Limits Conference has attracted global experts and leaders in the fields of academia, business, politics, policy, media, and philanthropy such as Stacey Abrams, José Andrés, Corey Booker, Raj Chetty, Chelsea Clinton, Darren Walker, Esther Duflo, Van Jones, Sal Khan, Nicholas Kristof, Wes Moore and more, to discuss the systemic and structural causes of poverty, and to share innovative solutions for solving it. Featuring panels, speeches, and interviews, No City Limits helps to focus public attention on poverty and emphasize the need for collective action to create sustainable economic mobility for all.

Parallel to the launch of No City Limits, Robin Hood has sought to drive public understanding about poverty through the release of its groundbreaking Poverty Tracker study. Conducted in conjunction with Columbia University, the study follows New Yorkers over several years to provide unique insight into the lived experience of material hardship that most poverty studies fail to capture. Updated findings from the Poverty Tracker, unveiled at NCL, continue to expand public debate around poverty and inform solutions in a host of areas including our recovery post-pandemic, access to housing, expanded education, and stronger commitments to child development and care. Stay tuned for updates on the 2022 No City Limits Conference. Read the latest Poverty Tracker report here.
