No City Limits 2021:
A Virtual Conference Reimagining the Poverty Fight
Robin Hood’s annual No City Limits conference brings together leading national voices from non-profit organizations, philanthropy, government, academia, faith, business, and community for action-oriented conversations on increasing mobility from poverty.
This year, join us virtually for two days of action-oriented conversations reflecting on what 2020 has taught us about increasing mobility from poverty, and how we will work to address these issues in 2021 and beyond.
NO CITY LIMITS: REIMAGINING THE POVERTY FIGHT
Amid a growing national crisis, Robin Hood has used its convening power to bring leading figures under one roof to focus on a single issue: poverty. Since 2016, Robin Hood’s marquee No City Limits Conference has attracted global experts and leaders in the fields of politics, policy, media, and philanthropy such Stacey Abrams, Van Jones, Esther Duflo, and Nicholas Kristof, to discuss poverty, its causes, and share innovative solutions. Featuring panels, speeches, and interviews, NCL helps to focus public attention on poverty and emphasize the need for collective action to create sustainable economic mobility.
Parallel to the launch of No City Limits, Robin Hood has sought to drive public understanding about poverty through the release of its groundbreaking Poverty Tracker study. Conducted in conjunction with Columbia University, the study follows individuals over several years, which provides unique insight into the lived experience of material hardship that most studies on poverty fail to capture. Moving forward, updated findings from the Poverty Tracker, unveiled at NCL, will expand public debate around poverty and inform solutions in a host of areas including access to housing, expanded education, and stronger commitment to child development and care. Stay tuned for updates on the 2021 No City Limits Conference.
